Fluid structure interaction for a cantilever undergoes fluid effect

Dear all,

I am encountering a problem of using fsi model. Basically I looked at the model Comosl provide, it's model ID 987, the instruction they provide is based on comsol version 3.5. Howver I am using comsol 4.1 also 4.2. So I am trying to create the same model but using just a cantilever (prismatic beam) insead of that complex geometry, also I am using fsi module. But I don't know what's is wrong with my model.

One problem I found is due to solver difference. The other might due to boundary conditions I am using.

I am uploading this file so can any one look at this and help me with some solutions?

MEMS - Electorstatic actuators

Hi.

I am trying to do a simple simulation of electrostatic actuator in Comsol 4.2. My system consist of two electrode, one electrode is fixed and another is free to move. I want when I apply voltage to one electrode to induce electrostatic force that will move another electrode. I want to show displacement of the second electrode. I would be very grateful if any one can help me how to do this? I don't know which module to use? I presume that I need to couple two physics electrostatic in AC/DC module and solid mechanics in Structural Mechanics module, because I need to apply fixed boundary condition to one electrode. But I don't know how to couple these two physics? I know that in Comsol version 4.2a exist electrostatics in Structural Mechanics module that has these two physics already coupled, but as I sad I have only Comsol version 4.2.

Regarding mems switch movement

HEllo all!!
I am new to COMSOL Multiphysics.I am given a task to design a phase shifter using mems switch.But,i am unable to design a mems switch in comsol.i.e,i am able to draw the Geometry and could not make the cantilever move as i wanted,when a field is applied.Can any one please design a MEMS switch with cantilever(movement at one end-with other end fixed) in comsol and upload the .mph file here....
